The road can be a platform for a wide range of innovations which can improve the safety and efficiency of driving experience. Internet of Things (IoT) devices are integrated and used in smart roads to enhance safety and efficiency of road users. Many authorities recognize the need for smart road technologies. However, developing smart city infrastructure at scale can be expensive and complicated. Leaders can implement smart road projects in stages, starting with small-scale initiatives that give fundamental understanding before moving on to large-scale initiatives. In conclusion, authorities gradually realized that the people could only benefit from modern transportation technologies if a significant investment in road infrastructure was made. Therefore, smart roads are crucial for transportation innovation.

Critical Reflection

At the beginning of this effective communication module, I wrote myself two goals in the introduction letter. The first goal was to be more confident in my presentation skill. The second goal was to improve my writing skill. Thirteen weeks have passed and I feel that have achieved what I was aiming for. This module has taught me various skills and techniques to improve both my presentation skills as well as writing skills. This module also helps me develop my critical thinking skills as well as my communicating skills. Throughout the module, we were given many opportunities to apply and practice what we learned.
