How do you see communication and critical thinking impacting your future role as a leader in the workplace.


From this excerpt, it shows how effective communication is important in the workplace and the consequences that an organisation has to suffer due to poor communication. I believe future leaders should practice good communication skills as they have a big influence in their team. If they have miscommunication between each other, it can lead to a drop in productivity and quality of work.


Another skill that a future leader should possess is the ability to use critical thinking. By using critical thinking, they can break down complex problems and analyse them so that they can produce creative solutions. This will improve their decision making process and help their company stay relevant and competitive in their industry. This will in turn increase their profit. 


Therefore, I believe it is crucial for future leaders to have good communication and critical thinking skills so that they can prosper in their workplace and lead the company to greater success.

Critical Reflection

At the beginning of this effective communication module, I wrote myself two goals in the introduction letter. The first goal was to be more confident in my presentation skill. The second goal was to improve my writing skill. Thirteen weeks have passed and I feel that have achieved what I was aiming for. This module has taught me various skills and techniques to improve both my presentation skills as well as writing skills. This module also helps me develop my critical thinking skills as well as my communicating skills. Throughout the module, we were given many opportunities to apply and practice what we learned. One such example is this activity where we were given limited time to research a certain topic and present our findings in front of the class.
